Basic Course Part 2: Safe in City Traffic
After you have perfected the basic vehicle control in Part 1, the second part takes you out onto the road. In these 4 hours, you will learn to apply your skills in real, light to medium traffic in and around Zurich.
Course Content of Part 2
- Correct Lane Positioning: Learn to position yourself correctly before intersections, traffic lights, and turns.
- Safely Navigating Intersections: Practice correct behavior at different types of intersections.
- Mastering Roundabouts: Correct entry, behavior in the roundabout, and safe exit.
- Braking Readiness and Anticipatory Driving: Recognize dangers early and react safely.
- Speed Adjustment: Train your feeling for the right speed adapted to the situation.
- Hill Starts: Start safely on a slope without rolling back.
Requirements for Part 2
- Successful completion of Basic Course Part 1.
- Safe handling of the vehicle, as learned in Part 1.
- Valid learner's permit and complete protective gear.
