Category A restricted (A2): The Entry for Adults
The license category A restricted, often referred to as A2, is the standard path for everyone aged 18 and over who wants to enter the world of motorcycling.
What Can I Ride?
- Maximum power: 35 kW (approx. 48 hp)
- Maximum power-to-weight ratio: 0.20 kW/kg
The Path to the A2 License
- First aid course
- Apply for learner's permit at the Road Traffic Office
- Pass theory test (if no existing license)
- Complete basic course (12 hours)
- Practical test
The Upgrade to the Premier Class
After two years of impeccable riding practice, you can register for the practical test for the A (unrestricted) category.
